Privacy Policy

Protecting the privacy of users of the Liberté! Foundation (including the following websites: igrzyskawolnosci.pl, liberte.pl, szostadzielnica.pl, 4liberty.eu) is of great importance to us. Therefore, we hereby publish a document explaining the principles and the manner of collecting, processing, and using information about the users of our Foundation’s websites.

I. Processing of Personal data of Users of the Liberté! Foundation’s Websites

a) Personal data of users of the Liberté! Foundation’s website is processed by the Liberté! Foundation, with its registered office in Lodz, Poland, at 63/25 Zaolziańska Street, 93-539, entered in the National Court Register under the number 0000284368, being, in relation to users’ personal data, the personal data administrator as defined by the Act of August 29, 1997, on the protection of personal data.

b) The personal data collected by the Liberté! Foundation processes users’ personal data in a manner consistent with the scope of permission granted by the user or on the basis of other statutory premises regulating data processing (primarily for the purpose of providing services and for the legally justified purpose of the Foundation – direct marketing of our products or services), in accordance with the Polish law, in particular in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act of August 29, 1997. The collection of users’ personal data is treated as a separate database stored on a secure server of the Foundation and in the professional GetResponse.com system, which provides us with the service of professional newsletter delivery. Full access to the database is available only to a small number of authorized employees and subcontractors of the Foundation who administer the database (including the IT company and Getresponse.com). As the personal data administrator of the users of our websites, we may contractually entrust the processing of such data to other entities, including foreign entities, pursuant to Article 31 of the Personal Data Protection Act of August 29, 1997.

c) By placing an order for the purchase of tickets for the Freedom Games forum, you knowingly consent to the processing and use of your personal information for commercial purposes and to the receiving information about the Liberté! Foundation projects and products. Messages will be sent using the professional mailing Getreponse.com system. The user may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time. At the same time, the user accepts the terms of service contained in the Rules of the Liberté! Store Terms and Conditions and agrees to comply with them.

Personal data included in the store’s database are processed solely for the needs of the store, they are not and will not be made available to other entities. The data is collected with due diligence and is properly protected against unauthorized access. The customer has the right to inspect their data, correct it, and demand that their data is no longer used.

d) Each user who has filled in the registration form or provided us with their personal data in a different way, is given access to the data concerning them in order to verify, modify, or delete it. Providing personal data is voluntary.

e) The Liberté! Foundation does not pass on, sell, or lend collected personal user data to other persons or institutions, except with the expressed consent or request of the user or at the demand of legally authorized state authorities for the purpose of their investigation. We may, however, disclose aggregate, general statistical information we have compiled to cooperating web ites or advertising agencies.

II. Cookies and Similar Technologies Policy

a) In connection with making the contents of the websites available, the Liberté! Foundation uses cookies, i.e. information stored by web servers on the user’s end device, which can be read by web servers at each connection to that end device, it may also use other technologies with functions similar or identical to cookies. In this document, information on cookies also applies to other similar technologies used as part of our websites. Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored in the end device of the user of the Liberté! Cookies usually contain the domain name of the website they come from, the time of storage on the end device, and a unique number.

b) Cookies are used for:

  • adapting the content of websites to the user’s preferences and optimizing the use of websites; these files specifically allow for identifying the website user’s device and appropriately display the website, tailored to the user’s individual needs,
  • creating statistics which help in understanding how the website users use the websites, which enables improving their structure and content,
  • maintaining the session of the website user (after logging in), thanks to which the user does not have to enter the login and password again on each subpage of the website,
  • providing users with advertising content more suited to their interests.

c) as part of our websites, we may use the following types of cookies:

  • “necessary” cookies, enabling the use of services available on the website, e.g. authentication cookies used for services that require authentication on the website,
  • cookies used to ensure safety, e.g. used to detect abuse of authentication on the site,
  • cookies that make it possible to collect information about the way the website is used,
  • functional cookies that make it possible to “remember” the user’s selected settings and personalize the user’s interface, e.g. with respect to the selected language or region of the user’s origin, font size, website layout, etc.,
  • “advertising” cookies that make it possible to deliver to users advertising content more suited to their interests.

d) In many cases, the software used to browse the Internet (a web browser) allows storing of cookies on the user’s end device by default. Users of the website can change their cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed in such a way so as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser configuration or to inform about them every time they are placed on the website in the User’s device. Details on the possibilities and methods of using cookies are available in the software settings (of the web browser). Not changing the settings for cookies means that they will be placed on the user’s terminal equipment and thus we will store information on the user’s terminal equipment and gain access to this information.

e) Turning off cookies might make it difficult to use certain services on our websites, in particular those that require logging in. Turning off cookies, however, does not prevent you from reading or viewing content posted on the Foundation’s websites, with the exception of content to which access requires logging in.

f) Cookies may be placed in the terminal equipment of a user of the Foundation’s website and then used by advertisers, research companies and suppliers of multimedia applications cooperating with the Foundation.

III. Information Contained in Access Logs

Like most website publishers, we collect information regarding the use of Foundation’s websites by users and their IP addresses by analyzing access logs. This information is used for technical purposes related to the administration of the servers of our websites, as well as for statistical purposes with the analysis of user demographics. In accordance with article 18.6 of the Act of July 18, 2002, on Providing Services by Electronic Means and other applicable laws, we may be required to release this information, including specifically the IP number of your computer contained in access logs at the request of state authorities authorized by law for the purposes of their proceedings.
